Winter Solstice Ceremony: An Evening of Ritual, Connection & Reflection

Join me in my partner Clint’s beautiful home in Ourimbah on the Central Coast for a heartfelt evening of ceremony, ritual, and connection.

June 21st marks the Winter Solstice — the shortest day of the year and the end of the pagan calendar. It is a powerful moment to honour all that has been, all that is, and all that is yet to come. A time to slow down, go inward, and gather in warmth and reflection.

You are invited to do just that — to sit by the fire in a cosy circle, nestled on couches and furs around the hearth in the living room. Together, we will share in sacred ritual:
✨ The medicine of ceremonial cacao
✨ Sing medicine drum songs to honour the old and welcome the new
✨ Be heard and seen in a sharing circle
✨ Burn the Yule log together as a symbol of release, renewal and manifestation

And afterwards:
✨ Enjoy the company of tribe gathering in unison
✨ Share a nourishing bowl of homemade chicken soup
✨ Bliss out in the warmth and integration of an outdoor sauna under the stars

These Circles are created to bring people together in a safe, supportive space — to cultivate community and connection with other conscious souls. It’s a space to remember that you are not alone on your path.

The container I hold is sacred, rooted in Shamanism, Animism, and deep reverence for the Earth and her guides. We begin by calling in the elements, our altar, and our intentions, creating a space where you can feel safe to express whatever arises.

We’ll work with the medicine of Cacao, a gentle heart-opener, to ground into presence and open channels for deeper healing and connection.

This experience will meet you where you are. It can be as soft or as transformational as you’re ready for — the invitation is simply to come with an open mind, an open heart, and trust in the process.

Optional: You're welcome to arrive earlier in the day to enjoy the land and sauna, and/or stay overnight in one of our spare beds or on a super comfy couch.
Please let us know your plans as soon as possible so we can accommodate you.

Important: We will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Late arrivals will not be admitted, as it's essential that we create a secure and uninterrupted ceremonial container for everyone's experience.

Contribution & Accessibility

This is a pay-what-you-can gathering. We ask you to contribute an amount that feels fair based on your financial situation. Your support helps cover ceremonial Cacao, dinner, sauna access, firewood, and the energy we put into creating this space.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of finances. If cost is a barrier, please reach out — no one will be turned away.

Capacity

This is an intimate gathering, limited to approx. 16 people to maintain a close and supported circle.

What to Bring

• Anything you’d like for comfort in circle
  (A pillow and faux sheepskin will be provided, plus we have couches)

• Shoes that can be removed easily & warm socks

• Layered clothing – it may get warm by the hearth

• A water bottle – hydration is important when drinking Cacao

• A journal & pen – to capture insights or messages

• Any instrument you love to play in a circle
  (drum, shaker, clap sticks, etc.)

• A plate of food to share and a bowl and spoon for dinner (optional) and other meals if you're there

• A towel if you wish to use the sauna (clothing optional)

• Bedsheets if you’re staying the night

About Your Facilitator

Naomi Brooks is the heart and soul behind Roots of the Earth Healing and Crystal Arcana. A lifelong seeker and healer, she walks the path of a Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Master, Kahuna Bodyworker, and Crystal Healer—blending ancestral knowledge with intuitive energy work. Her journey began in childhood, where an innate connection to the unseen realms and a deep love for creativity shaped her spiritual foundation.

Today, Naomi channels her calling through Crystal Arcana, a sacred space nestled in the heart of Newtown, Sydney. More than just a crystal shop, it’s a haven for community, transformation, and soul remembrance. Through the medicine of cacao, the vibrational power of crystals, and teachings rooted in shamanic tradition and sacred craft, Naomi holds space for others to awaken, heal, and return to their essence.

Disclaimer & Important Information

Please be aware that ceremonial Cacao is a natural stimulant and, while generally safe for most people, it may have contraindications for certain individuals. We recommend consulting your healthcare professional before attending if any of the following apply to you:

• Cardiovascular Conditions & Low Blood Pressure:
  Cacao acts as a vasodilator and can lower blood pressure. If you have low blood pressure, serious heart conditions, or epilepsy, please consult your doctor before consuming Cacao.

• Antidepressant Medications:

  • MAOI-based antidepressants may interact with tyramine in Cacao, making higher doses inadvisable. Possible side effects may include headaches and nausea.

  • SSRI medications may also interact with the tryptophan content in Cacao, which is a serotonin precursor and mild MAOI. While adverse effects are rare, it is recommended that you speak with your doctor if you are currently taking SSRIs.

By purchasing a ticket to this event, you acknowledge that:

• You have read and understood the above contraindications. While we will ensure no one exceeds the recommended ceremonial dose, your consumption is at your own discretion.

Please note:

• The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. To maintain the integrity of the space, late arrivals will not be admitted.

• Tickets are non-refundable, including if you are unable to attend due to lateness.

In the case of exceptional circumstances, we may be able to transfer your ticket to a future event. If this applies, please reach out to us as soon as possible to discuss your options.
