As the light returns and the earth awakens, join us in honouring the Spring Equinox on Dharug land (Ourimbah & Bateau Bay)—a sacred time of balance, blooming, and new beginnings. This is a day to reconnect with yourself, with community, and with the rhythms of the land.

Held in nature (if weather permits), this immersive day retreat weaves together ceremony, connection, and earth-based ritual to honour both the inner and outer seasons of renewal.

About These Gatherings

These retreats are created to bring people together in a safe and sacred space—to heal, to remember, and to reconnect with community. Rooted in shamanic practice and deep reverence for the Earth, we call in the elements, create altars, and set intentions that allow you to open, release, and receive.

Working with the gentle medicine of cacao, we journey into presence and connection. The experience will meet you where you are—whether you seek softness, clarity, or deep transformation. Come with an open heart and trust the path that unfolds.

Date & Time

Sunday 21st September
Starting at 9:00am (Sharp), arrive from 8:30am
Ceremony finishes around 6:30pm and Gathering continues into the night for as long as you wish.

Important: We will begin promptly at 9am. Late arrivals will not be admitted, as it's essential that we create a secure and uninterrupted ceremonial container for everyone's experience. Plus we have a full schedule and don't want to cut anything from the day we have planned.

Ourimbah & Bateau Bay - Two amazing locations if weather permits. 

Capacity

This is an intimate gathering of up to 16 people, limited to maintain a close and supported circle.

What to Bring

Anything you’d like for comfort in circle or around the fire later. 
(A pillow and faux sheepskin will be provided)

Shoes that can be removed easily

Spring Ceremonial clothing – we will be donning flower crowns

Swimwear and a towel if you wish to swim in the ocean or sauna

A warm jacket in case it gets cold

Sun protection for the beach, although we'll bring a shelter

A water bottle – hydration is important when drinking Cacao

A journal & pen – to capture insights or messages

About Your Facilitator:

Naomi Brooks is the founder of Roots of the Earth Healing—a sanctuary for deep soul work, ancestral remembrance, and earth-based healing. As a Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Master, Kahuna Bodyworker, and Crystal Healer, Naomi weaves ancient wisdom with embodied energy work to guide others through profound personal transformation.

Her path began in early childhood with a natural sensitivity to energy and spirit, growing into a lifelong devotion to the unseen realms and the sacred mysteries of healing. Through her work, Naomi offers ceremonies, journeys, bodywork, breathwork and one-on-one sessions that awaken the spirit, clear energetic blockages, and restore connection to the Earth and self.

Naomi also curates Crystal Arcana, her crystal sanctuary in Newtown, Sydney—a grounded extension of her healing work. Here, she shares the vibrational medicine of crystals, ceremonial cacao, and sacred tools, while nurturing a growing community of seekers, creatives, and soul-travellers.

At the heart of all she offers is a simple, powerful invitation: to return to the earth, to spirit, and to your own true nature.

Clint Hooper will be co-facilitating the Men’s Business, holding the masculine space throughout the day, and tending the Sacred Fire.
Clint walks an earth-based, shamanic path with a deep connection to nature and the elements. He is also a trained Kahuna bodyworker, bringing both spiritual and somatic wisdom to his work.

His purpose is to hold safe healing spaces for men to connect, open and deepen authentically together — weaving strength, vulnerability, and brotherhood. In a world where this work is so needed, Clint offers his presence with integrity, humility, and heart.

Disclaimer & Important Information

Please be aware that ceremonial Cacao is a natural stimulant and, while generally safe for most people, it may have contraindications for certain individuals. We recommend consulting your healthcare professional before attending if any of the following apply to you:

• Cardiovascular Conditions & Low Blood Pressure:
  Cacao acts as a vasodilator and can lower blood pressure. If you have low blood pressure, serious heart conditions, or epilepsy, please consult your doctor before consuming Cacao.

• Antidepressant Medications:

  • MAOI-based antidepressants may interact with tyramine in Cacao, making higher doses inadvisable. Possible side effects may include headaches and nausea.

  • SSRI medications may also interact with the tryptophan content in Cacao, which is a serotonin precursor and mild MAOI. While adverse effects are rare, it is recommended that you speak with your doctor if you are currently taking SSRIs.

• You have read and understood the above contraindications. While we will ensure no one exceeds the recommended ceremonial dose, your consumption is at your own discretion.

Please note:

• The ceremony will begin promptly at 9am. To maintain the integrity of the space, late arrivals will not be admitted.

• Tickets are non-refundable, including if you are unable to attend due to lateness.

In the case of exceptional circumstances, we may be able to transfer your ticket to a future event. If this applies, please reach out to us as soon as possible to discuss your options.
